Here’s the official press release:
SPICE RACK COMICS LAUNCHES TO BOOST NSFW COMICS CREATORS THROUGH COLLABORATION AND CROSS-PROMOTION
[December 1, 2024] – In a groundbreaking effort to support NSFW comics creators navigating the challenges of adult content publishing, veteran cartoonist Brad Guigar has announced the launch of Spice Rack Comics—a banner exchange webring designed to foster cross-promotion among some of the top talents in the genre.
Spice Rack Comics unites creators specializing in adult comics under a shared mission: to amplify one another’s work and overcomethe unique barriers ofcensorship, content moderation, and discoverability plaguing NSFW content.
In addition to traditional banner exchanges, Spice Rack Comics creators will leverage social media, public appearances, and other opportunities to promote the group. This unique combination of digital and real-world promotion aims to help creators thrive in a field that often marginalizes adult content.
“Publishing NSFW comics is an uphill battle,” says Brad Guigar, founder of Spice Rack Comics and creator of Evil Inc After Dark. “Platforms crackdown on adult content, advertisers are squeamish, and creators face roadblocks that others in comics simply don’t. Spice Rack Comics is here to change that by working together to lift each other up.”
A Showcase of Talent
The alliance brings together a wide variety of styles and storytelling approaches, from the fantasy-laden escapades of The Cummoner to the spy-thriller antics of Spying with Lana, to the queer-focused erotica of Filthy Figments. Together, these creators represent some of the most dynamic voices in adult comics.
“With this network, we’re creating a space where adult comics aren’t just tolerated—they’re celebrated,” says Guigar. “We want to help readers discover the breadth of incredible work in this genre.”
Collaboration from the Very Start
The spirit of collaboration that defines Spice Rack Comics was evident in the collective effort it took to bring this initiative to life. Tom Roberts spearheaded the construction of the Spice Rack Comics website, while Garth Graham designed the logo and contributed significantly to the site’s visual identity. Nero Villagallos O’Reilly provided additional website enhancements. Jaycee Knight coordinated the project, keeping the team organized and on schedule, and Matt Sowers developed a custom dashboard and the backend code that powers the webring’s functionality. Together, their contributions reflect the shared commitment to building a platform that supports the success of NSFW comics creators.

END
Every week another of our comics will be promoted in the Spice Rack banners, so that’s how often you can expect a different comic to be featured there!
Last year I published book 1 by pre-selling it on Gumroad, but that service isn’t available for adult comics anymore, so I’m doing a Kickstarter to fund printing of book 2!
TLDR: There is an alternative place to suport my comics at SUBSCRIBESTAR that will mirror the content on Patreon.
Hey! As some or all of you know, my comics are the main source of income for me and my family! That makes it very anxiety-inducing sometimes, when platforms suddenly close their doors to NSFW creators, like it recently happened on Gumroad. Patreon is also adding some additional restrictions on content, but I’m hoping my comics are wholesome enough to be okay, despite all the wild sex they contain.
Additionally, over the years I had a few people message me that they’re canceling because they don’t want to use Patreon and asked if I had alternatives (I used to send them to Gumroad).
I’m starting an account on Subscribestar – it will mirror the content on Patreon, will have the same price support tiers and I will upload all my completed chapters there for download. So if you would like to support my comics, there are now two main platforms to consider.
UPDATE 20-sep-2023: SHIPPING IS (ALMOST*) COMPLETE! Last week I sent out half the orders and the other half has gone out today – if you ordered an Ad Asstra, you should’ve got an email with tracking info and if you already got i last week, the book ought to be coming soon!
*There are 3 books in which I still need to finish drawing custom sketches, so these will go out next week! From now on, any new orders will be shipped on Fridays.
UPDATE 08-sep-2023: I delivered the files for Ad Asstra to the printer and the job’s paid for! They will print the book within the month! So everything’s going well and according to plan and I will update again when the printing’s done!
Original post: All right, we’re doing this! I put the book up on Gumroad! If all goes well, it will be printed in September and shipped in early October 2023!
This is a bigger, thicker and more premium book than any of the small ones I printed so far, and thus I need to do a pre-order of sorts to finance the printing. There’s an “early bird” price (limited to 100 books), “regular” price and 10 special slots for custom sketches – sorry there’s so few of these, but years ago I did a 50 for another book and it took a really long time to finish them!
Hopefully this will help me figure out any potential problems and challenges before I tackle printing Cummoner next year!
